Curt Powered Tail Light Converter Installation - 2023 Dodge Hornet- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look and installing the Curt universal four-pole trailer wiring harness on a 2023 Dodge Hornet. If you have a hitch on your Hornet, or if you ever plan on pulling a trailer, I highly recommend picking up four-pole trailer wiring. Even if you don't plan on pulling anything, it's really nice to be able to have this here just in case, maybe you move a little utility trailer, whatever it may be, you'll be able to get those light functions working, keeping you safe and legal, and the way this works, you'll have your four-pole plug that can live here with the dust cap on your hitch, and you'll just plug that into the trailer whenever you're ready to go, but this ties into your factory light signals, so you're gonna get that running light, turn signal, and brake light. Now this system is fuse-protected, as well as module-protected, so even though you're tying into your factory taillights, you don't really have to worry too much about it causing any issues long-term, and this is a universal kit, meaning, we're gonna be quick-splicing into some of those connections, which, you don't have to be a wiring guru to do. It's pretty straightforward. You are gonna need to run a power wire underneath the vehicle up to the battery, which can get a little bit tricky, but, honestly, I think that's the hardest part. more

Any wiring to your vehicle is going to allow you, when pulling a trailer, to get light signals transferred from your vehicle back to the trailer so that you're legal and safe. Also, if you maybe put a cargo carrier on and adding the cargo on covers your lights, some cargo carriers allow you to add lights on. Adding those lights on, giving you the 4-pole plug, will allow you to get those lights, again, back to the outside of your cargo carrier so that, again, you're legal and safe. Everybody. Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2018 Dodge Journey, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness. Now what kind of separates this wiring from some of the others is that it's actually going to use a module box. And that module box is going to protect our vehicle's factory wiring harness if anything bad we're to happen on our trailer.Now many Dodge Journeys on the road would actually come with led-style tail lights. We'll the harnesses that are built for those will not work with the incandescent bulbs like we have here today. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Dodge Journey- Video

Hey there Journey owners. Today in our 2015 Dodge Journey SXT, we're going to be installing to conscious T1 vehicle wiring harness. This four-pole flat trailer wiring harness is going to provide you with all the necessary lighting that you'll need for all your trailer. This includes your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps, and brake lamps, keeping you DOT compliant in all States. What's nice about this harness is that it has a module that is inline with the harness. The module detects all the signals that go to the factory tail lights on your vehicle, and then sends a signal down to our four-pole connector to our trailer. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Dodge Journey- Video

Today on our 2016 Dodge Journey we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with a four pole flat trailer connector.Here's what our wiring looks like once we have it installed. It is gonna stay on the outside of the vehicle, so it will be close by our hitch whenever we need it. It's gonna provide us with a four pole flat trailer connector so we have all the required lights to get safely down the road, like our taillights, turn signals, and our brake lights. We can use the dust cover to attach it to our safety chain loops so it'll take up some of the slack and we don't have to worry about it dragging. But if you want more of a permanent solution to mount it, we do have brackets available here at etrailer.com. Our wiring is custom designed so it's made specifically for our Journey that has LED taillights. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2018 Dodge Charger- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Dodge Charger, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. That's part number C56234.Here's what our wiring's gonna look like once we have it installed. This is gonna give us all the lighting functions we need to safely get down the road, like our tail lights, our turn signals, and our brake lights. It is gonna provide us the 4-pole connector for easy connections. Now whenever we're not towing with it, and we wanna store it, we simply open up our trunk and we store it right by our spare tire. So it's gonna keep it out of the elements and keep it from getting any rust or corrosion on the contact points.The maximum amps of our wiring is gonna be three amps for our stop and our turn signals, and six amps for our tail light circuits.A lot of our customers said that they really like this wiring kit because of how easy it is to install. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan you're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install the Curt T-connector Vehicle Wiring Harness 4-pole Flat Trailer Connect, part number C56331.This is what your wiring's gonna look like when you get it. You are gonna get a little bundle of wire that you're gonna have to take from this black wire coming off the converter box. It's gonna go up to the battery. Converter box, this is probably the most important part of this wiring harness. This is what's gonna protect your vehicle, your factory wiring on your vehicle, when you back feed from your trailer, if your trailer has a short or something in the light circuits. You're gonna have a wire, yellow and brown, that's gonna be your driver's side. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2018 Dodge Durango- Video

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2018 Dodge Durango, we're going to be installing Tekonsha's T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, Part Number 118617. This vehicle wiring harness is going to provide your trailer with all the necessary lighting. This includes the left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps, and brake lamps, so you'll be DOT compliant in all states.One of the nicest things about this harness is that is has a module that will intercept the signals at each of your left and right tail lamp assemblies. It'll see those signals and then generate its own signal and send it back here to our connector. This module has its own dedicated power circuit that is fused so if there's any faults on your trailer, the fuse will just open to our module and it won't affect any of your vehicle wiring. So you can correct your trailer's faults and then just replace the fuse and you're ready to get back on the road.There's a dust cap located on the end to help keep out any dirt and debris when you're not using it. more

It's got that extra potting material that really makes this solid, as well as the nice splice connectors when it comes to power output. I'll have to give that to the CURT because it does offer a few tenths more of an amp more for each circuit. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Dodge Avenger- Video

Speaker 1: Today in our 2012 Dodge Avenger, we're going to be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with four pole flat trailer connector, part number C56211. This wiring harness kit is going to provide you with the four pole flat connector that you can hook to your trailer, to provide all the necessary lighting. It'll live inside your trunk. You can have it all bundled up, and when you're ready to use it, just unbundle it, drape it over the back, connect it to your trailer, and it'll smash between your weather stripping on your trunk here, which has got a nice cushion, so it won't damage any of the wires.Since it normally lives inside the vehicle, that'll help prevent corrosion that normally occurs on one outside the vehicle. If you do just leave it outside your trunk hanging down, it does have a dust collector to help keep out that road grime. It's going to provide you with all your required turn lighting for your trailer, such as your tail lamps, your left turn, your right turn, and your braking lamps.It connects inline to your left and right rear lamp assemblies, and has a circuit protected control box that isolates your trailer connector from your vehicle's lighting. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Dodge Charger- Video

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2014 Dodge Charger, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-pole Flat Trailer Connector, Part #118560. Here's what our wiring is going to look like. It is going to provide us with a 4-pole flat trailer connector, which is going to give us our running lights, turn lights, and brake signals so we can get down the road safely. It does also have a nice dust cap to keep any kind of dirt and debris out of the connector. However, when we're not using it, we can open up our trunk and we can store it inside of our trunk, since it is going to stay on the inside of the vehicle. Everything is included that we need to get it installed. more
